GORSKI JAMES JOSEPH JIM 65, of Pottsville, passed away Wednesday, September 11, one day shy of his 66th birthday. A native of Uniontown, PA, Jim was a son of the late Joseph Raymond and Ellen Bernadette (Mullen) Gorski. He is survived by his wife, Lois Elaine (Frantz) Shadle Gorski, of Pottsville, PA. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Karen Ann (Fescemyer) Gorski and an infant sibling. Jim served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, earning numerous ribbons for two tours on board the USS Kitty Hawk aircraft carrier. He was a patriot through and through. An outdoorsman and resident handyman, there was no job to big for Jim to tackle. In a career spanning more then four decades, Jim worked as an electrical engineer for several companies including AT&T, Sartorious Systems Inc., Air Products and Chemicals Inc., and most recently at RPA Associates in Wyomissing, PA. Jim loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, eating pistachio nuts and black olives, the game of golf, for which he won numerous tournaments, and tinkering in the garage almost as much as he loved his beloved family. His lawn manicuring skills would put the best landscape artists to the test. He was a prostate cancer survivor, had an infectious laugh, a big smile, a hearty appetite, and an exasperated sigh which became his trademark characteristic. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by stepson, Shane Shadle and his girlfriend, Monica, of Deer Lake, PA; stepson, Christopher Shadle and his partner, Benjamin Becker, of Catasauqua, PA; daughter, Jennifer Gorski and her boyfriend, Brett Ridge, of McKeansburg, PA; granddaughter, Kailey Shadle, of Deer Lake; sister, Mary Ellen Watson and her husband, George David, of Hampton VA; father and mother-in-law, LeMoyne and Betty Frantz, of Pine Grove, PA; sisters and brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
