McERLAIN ALBERTA A. (SOTAK) 86, of Sunrise of Worthington, OH, formerly of Murrysville, died on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013. Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. McErlain; her parents, Michael A. and Anna (Lesko) Sotak; sisters, Winifred Hanchak and Leona Sotak; and brother, Michael Sotak. She is survived by her daughters, Ann (Tom) DiMarco of Columbus, OH and Mary (Patrick) Tatum of Charlottesville, VA; sons, Michael P. (Becki) of Saratoga, CA and Charles Chuck; and six grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Alberta graduated from the Pittsburgh Hospital School of Nursing and was a member of Murrysville Nurses Club, often helping with Red Cross Blood drives. She was the happiest when in her garden, she loved sharing a plant cutting with friends. Alberta loved to walk on the beach, enjoyed swimming and spending winter months in Bonita Springs, FL. The McErlain family would like to thank her loving caregivers at Sunrise, especially Love and Whitney, the compassionately caring staff of OhioHealth Hospice and Georgia Jones of Interim Healthcare for all they did to make her comfortable the last week of her life. Alberta will be deeply missed.
