SAUNDERS KATHERINE L. "KITTY" (CROMIE) Age 78, of Penn Hills, on Wednesday, December 18, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Ronald M. Saunders; loving mother of Ronald (Sandy) Saunders, Jr., Kathy (Paul) Albert, Lynn (Joe) Seward, Patti (Dave) Grasinger, Karen (Matt) Banks, and the late Bobby Saunders; grandmother of Robert, Raymond, Sean, Paul, Kristy, Mindi, Megan, Joey, Randy, Kaitlyn, Zachary, David, Timmy, Lindsey, Ryan, and Ethan; great-grandmother of Nathan, Andrew, Myles, Gavin and Logan; sister of Kenneth (Carol) Cromie and the late Thomas, William (Mary) and Marion Cromie; sister-in-Law of Shirley Cromie; also survived by a large, loving family and dear friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Willows of Presbyterian SeniorCare where Kitty resided for the past several years. She was retired from Penn Hills School District after many years where she worked as a secretary. Kitty was the president of the Penn Hebron Women's Garden Club. Her interests included ceramics, sewing and genealogy. As the matriarch of her family, she kept a close eye on everyone. Her legacy is one of love, wisdom and guidance. Friends received Saturday, 9:00 a.m. until a Service at 12:30 p.m. at SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES, LTD./ROTH CHAPEL, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills. Burial in Allegheny Cemetery.
