
FARRAR GRACE MARIE (PANUCCI) Born Sept. 23, 1917, in McKees Rocks, PA to Joseph and Rose Panucci. Grace was one of 16 children in an exceptional Italian family. Known at 98 as Amazing Grace, passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of April 24, 2016. Following graduation from Stowe Rox HS, Grace attended business school and worked at Kaufmann's Dept. store. Grace married her high school sweetheart, Don Farrar in 1943. They had four children, Donna Grace Farrar, Louis Farrar (Nancy), Deborah Rubio and Leslie Farrar-Finklea (Jim). Don and Grace moved their growing family to California in 1954 where Grace eventually managed the family business, Don Farrar Realty. She was a member of the Charter Oak Woman's Club, St. Lucy's Guild and a faithful parishioner at Sacred Heart Church. A well known member of South Hills Country Club, Grace enjoyed playing bridge, bunco and having fun with The Larkhill Girls. Among her passions, even into her 90s were Charter Oak HS football, tailgating at UCLA football games and watching the Lakers. Grace was preceded in death by her late husband, Don Farrar, in 1996 after 54 years of marriage. Not only is Grace survived by her four loving children, she also leaves a sister, Evelyn Gross of Sewickley; a brother, Joseph Panucci of McKees Rocks; four grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many family and friends. Grace was known as the fun-loving, kind and generous matriarch of the Farrar family. Rosary 6 p.m. Mon., May 2, 2016, Forest Lawn, Covina.
