WALZ ALBERT JOSEPH, Jr. Of Overbrook, passed into God's loving care, peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2014, surrounded by many loving family members. Beloved husband of the late Mary Grace (Foley) Walz; loving father of eight, David (LuAnn) Walz, Janice (Richard) Verscharen, Richard Walz, Albert "Joey" (Heather) Walz, Gary (Colleen) Walz, Tommy (Alice) Walz, Mary (Paul) Ernst, and Caroline (Troy) Bowermaster; proud grandfather of 21 and great-grandfather of four; brother of the late Leroy Walz; Albert is also survived by numerous loving and caring friends and neighbors, to whom we will be forever grateful. Albert was a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and a Captain with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire. Funeral Prayers on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Norbert Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township, PA.
