STAUFF WILLIAM S. Age 89, went home to be with the Lord on March 26, 2017. Bill was born on July 22, 1927, the son of the late Ellen and John Stauff. He graduated from Mt. Lebanon High School in 1945 and then served two years in the Army (1945-1947). Bill graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1951. He was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Bill wed his late wife, Janet Bartle in 1952 and they were married for 50 years. For 35 years he was employed by General Electric and retired in 1987. Bill was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. For seven years, he volunteered for the Meals on Wheels program. Bill is survived by his wife, Freddie; daughter, Sue (the late Peter) Miller; son, Robert (Patty) Stauff; grandchildren, Derek (Rachel) Hahn, Kurt (Jordan) Hahn, Allison (Harley) Doane, Megan (Steve) Bronder; five great-grandchildren; four stepchildren; and eight step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings, Jack Stauff and Dorothy (Fred) Corey. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Village.
