GRAY WILLIAM J., Jr. Of Forest Hills, age 95, on Thursday, May 4, 2017. Bill was the beloved husband of the late Johanna M. (Mulgrave) for 69 years; loving father of Beth (Jim) Smith of Forest Hills, Dan Gray of Regent Square, Janice Gray (Jim) Landisch of Wisconsin, Gretchen Gray (Dennis) Hagen, Bill (Janice) Gray and Amy Gray (Greg) Wagner, all of Murrysville and the late Kathy Gray Gordon (surviving spouse, Lowell of Ohio); proud grandfather of Ashley, Erin and Lauren Smith; Kate Gordon Uber; Bill, Dan, Patrick and Megan Landisch; Matthew, Eric and Hilary Hagen; Ian, Morgan and Ellen Gray; Brian, Mark, Hanna and Ben Wagner; and great-grandfather of Miles Roger and Emerson Michael; brother of the late Robert Gray; and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran. Following his service to our country, he became a Sales Rep. for various companies in the auto parts industry. For the last 20 years of his working career, he was self- employed by his own company, Gray Sales Associates. Prior to his working career, Bill attended the former St. Mary's Prep. Bill was active in his community as a former President of the Churchill Area Swim Club, and Usher at St. Maurice Parish. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Northside Council, and Wilkinsburg and Braddock Elks Clubs. He also was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, a volunteer at Shadyside Hospital, and a volunteer driver for Those Who Wait. Bill was a great friend to many residents and staff of St. Anne's Home. Bill also enjoyed golf, and was a fan of all of the Pittsburgh sports teams. Friends welcome Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable, East Pittsburgh, 412-824-8800. Mass of Christian Burial in St. John Fisher Church on Friday at 10 a.m. Following Mass, military honors will be performed for Bill. Bill's cremated remains will then be entombed at a later date in Braddock Catholic Cemetery.
