NASSIDA ANTHONY TONY W., Sr. Age 84, of Monroeville, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, May 1, 2017. Born on September 7 1932, he was the son of the late Catherine and Vincenzo "James" Nassida. He was the loving husband of Judith of 32 years; cherished father of Anthony Nassida, Jr. and stepfather of Edward (Cheryl) Slagle, Brett (Patty) Slagle, Helene Hopkins, Beth (Duane) Graham and Scott Slagle; he is survived by numerous grandchildren, especially Ken and great- grandchildren. Anthony was the youngest of 12 children and survived by one brother, Frank (Joe Ann) Nassida. He was an avid sports fan, but his #1 team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a Monroeville Police Officer for 25 years. Burial will be held in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Friday, May 12, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. with full military honors.
