MAYER ROBERT L., Jr. Age 70, of Naples, FL formerly of Bethlehem, and Lake View Acres, Lake Wallenpaupack, died Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at his residence. He was the husband of Marilyn L. (Bankhard). Robert was born in Pittsburgh on December 26, 1946, to the late Robert L., Sr. and Virginia G. (Taylor). As a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army, he served our country faithfully during Vietnam earning the Purple Heart medal. Robert earned his bachelor's and master's degree in education from Penn State University. He was the President and CEO of the former Renal Treatment Centers until retiring in 1998. He was a member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church, Naples, Florida. Survivors, in addition to his wife of 32 years, sons: Christopher (Marcia) Nagy of Bethlehem and Jonathan (Stacy) Mayer of Lake Ariel; sister, Nancy Mayer (J. Keith Cassidy) of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren: Ashleigh, Matthew, William, Maria and Edward; sister-in-law, Virginia (John) Hughes of Bethlehem; niece, Emma Rose Cassidy.
