In loving memory of Albert Walter Betler, Sr., born in Pittsburgh on December 18, 1928 to Harry R. and Olga Marie (Landau) Betler. He lived in Jefferson Borough for over 60 years and retired to Florida for the past 20 years. Al passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013, leaving his wife of 63 years, (Catherine) Dolores; his three children, Michele Liken (Robert), Denise Killmeyer (Richard), and Albert Betler, Jr. (Tracy); six grandchildren, Carrie Liken-Skotko (Brian), Catie Liken, Brandon Kehr (Vanessa), Kristin Killmeyer, Jeff Betler, Lisa Betler; and Brayden Kehr, his great grandson.
He was the original owner of A. Betler Construction, Inc., was a 32-degree Mason and member of the Shrine, was a Trustee at Jefferson United Presbyterian Church, earned his 50-year Carpenters Gold Card, belonged to the Master Builders Association, and was the Treasurer for the Laborers' Combined Funds. In retirement, Al served on the Board of Directors at Camp-A-Wyle Condo Association in Weeki Wachee, Florida.
