PITSCHKE WALTER J. Age 92, of Observatory Hill, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine R. (Vacek); loving father of Walter J., Jr. (Clara), Richard A. (Carla), Sherry Dunn, Lori Karas (Stephen), and the late Karen Stringob; also survived by 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; brother of the late Al and Elmer Pitschke, Martha Folsom, and Catherine Martin. Walter was a WWII veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps. He retired from Gulf Research in Harmarville. He coached and refereed youth baseball and basketball with the Perry Athletic Association into his 70s. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at the H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp., 412-364-4444.
