HODGDON THOMAS G. III Age 78, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2017, at Heritage Crossings, a caring and loving community, in Jacksonville, FL. From his birth in Pittsburgh, PA on April 8, 1939, to Thomas G. and Bernice (Cruikshank) Hodgdon, Jr. to his death, he lived life as a great adventure. He grew up in Ben Avon Heights, PA, the oldest of two sons. Tom was a swimmer at Avonworth HS, a musician, an oarsman at Purdue University, a fisherman, sailor, outdoorsman, Steelers fan, father, and brother. Tom will be forever remembered by his children Thomas G. Guy Hodgdon IV of Auburn, CA, James A. (Hiromi) Hodgdon of Jacksonville, FL, and Amy B. (Viktor) (Hodgdon) Götz of Wexford, PA; his six grandchildren, Réka, Sophia, Gábriel, Naomi, Emily, and Ian; and his brother, Allan C. (Dorothy) Hodgdon of Mercer, PA. In keeping with the wishes of Tom, there will be no funeral services. The scattering of his ashes by his family will be private. To our dear father, fair winds and following seas...
