BUCKLEW ROY HARRISON, Jr. Age 89, formerly of Whitehall Borough, PA, died suddenly on March 4, 2018 in Morgantown, WV. Roy was born on October 31, 1928, in Terra Alta, West Virginia, a son of the late Roy and Laura Feathers Bucklew. Roy served in the US Army in Korea, graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from WVU before starting his career with Sandia Labs in Albuquerque, NM. He joined Westinghouse at the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in 1955. He later became the Manager of the Nuclear Refueling Group at the Plant Apparatus Division and retired from Westinghouse in 1988. He is survived by his wife, Rena DiPetta Cyphert; children, Robert Bucklew (Lynda), Barbara Daigle, Steven Bucklew (Nancy), Patti Bucklew and David Bucklew (Danielle); grandchildren, Tara, Jenna, Shawna, Kristin, Bethany, Mary, Darren, Caitlin, Nathan and Cami; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Elizabeth Cyphert Bucklew; and a sister. Friends and family will be received at HASTINGS FUNERAL HOME, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Hastings Funeral Home from 9-10 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 3334B University Ave., Morgantown, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
