MIELE JOSEPH PAUL Age 85, of Plum, formerly of Swissvale, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carmella. Joe is survived by his sister, Angeline Billings and her husband, James; brother, Sylvester Miele and his wife, Carol; brother-in-law, William Dimieri and his wife, Lois; and sister-in-law, Josie Conti and her husband, Chuck. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Joe was a graduate of Carlow College. He taught many years at both St. Bernard in Mt. Lebanon and St. James Grade School, Wilkinsburg. He was a member of the choir at Our Lady of Joy Catholic Parish, Plum Boro and volunteered for years for the Tuesday cooking group at Madonna Del Castello Parish. Family to receive friends Saturday 6-8 p.m. and Sunday 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the THOMAS L. NIED FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7441 Washington St., Swissvale. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Madonna Del Castello Church, 2021 S.
