CHRISTNER R. EDWARD Age 79, of South Park, formerly of Chatham Village, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2014. Born October 9, 1934, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Thayer and Nan (McLaughlin) Christner. Beloved husband of Callie Henry Christner; loving father of Scott Christner, Todd (Debbie) Christner, Joan (Philip) Joson, and Leslie (Craig) Stiffler; dear brother of Jim (Pam) Christner; cherished grandfather of Todd II (Amanda Elldge) Christner, Vicki (Andy) Owen, Scott II Christner, Chris, Lindsey and A.J. Joson, and Matt and Kate Stiffler; great- grandfather of Ethan and Noah Owen, and Liam Christner. Ed enjoyed traveling with his family. He was a proud 1956 graduate of Pitt, whereupon he accepted a position at B.F. Goodrich International. He retired after 35 years as Senior Vice Present for the International Division. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at the Haven Heights United Methodist Church, 608 Virginia Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15211.
