RUSSELL JOAN H. Age 88 of Oakmont, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. Born in upstate NY, Joan lived in multiple places around the US before making Pittsburgh her home for the last 50 years. Joan continued her journey with a Master degree from the University of Pittsburgh leading to a new career working at Heinz World Corp. She spent her final decades of glorious retirement volunteering, traveling the world and spending time with her family. Beloved mother, Joan will be forever remembered by her children, Storm Walton, Russell (Paula) Myers, Mark (Joyce) Myers, Troy (Christina) Myers; dear sister, Mary (Jeffrey) Russell of CT; Joan was a cherished grandmother to Joni, David, Amanda, Lauren, Brendan, Adam, Perry, Luke, Corbin and Jack; with five greatgrandchildren plus one on the way. The family will have a celebration of Joan's life this weekend. Interment will take Joan back to the Hudson Valley to join her parents and grandparents in Mellenville, NY.
