BASSETT ALICE M. Age 84, of Mount Lebanon, on Monday, July 8, 2013. Wife of the late Joseph J. Bassett, Jr.; devoted mother of Annette (Anthony) Sanchez of Mt. Lebanon, Christopher Bassett (Karen) of Point Breeze, Thomas Bassett (Pamela) of Elizabeth Twp., Megan (Charles) McKinley of Harrisville, PA, and the late Joseph J. Bassett, III; loving grandmother of Allie, Cullen, Emily, Charli, Colleen, Leo, Andy and Hope; sister of the late Elizabeth Flanders, Andrew, Daniel, Thomas and John McGlynn. As a supportive wife and young mother, Alice moved five children five times in three years. Alice was a tireless volunteer for many organizations, most recently at Saint Mary's Church Red Door Program every Monday. Her faith in God sustained her throughout her life. Friends will be welcomed at LAUGHLIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 222 Washington Road, Mount Lebanon, Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Bernard Church, Friday morning at 10:00 o'clock.
