CHUTE KATHRYN LANG Surrounded by her three children, on July 6, 2013, Kathryn Lang Chute, 99, of Wilkinsburg, at home. Born May 17, 1914 and raised in Dormont. Beloved wife of the late Merlin M. Chute; devoted mother of Kenneth L. Chute of Wilkinsburg, James (Holly) E. Chute of La Jolla, CA, and Eleanor (Thomas) Chute Fisher of Pittsburgh; loving grandmother of Colin Chute of Cincinnati, Matthew (Stacey) Chute of Lake Forest, CA, David and Daniel Fisher, both of Pittsburgh, and Kathy (Frank) Kahsar of Cincinnati; great-grandmother of Makayla Chute of Dana Point, CA, Taylor and Peyton Chute, both of Lake Forest, CA, Tyler and Alex Kahsar, both of Cincinnati, and the late Preston Kahsar of Cincinnati. Kay loved to sew beautiful quilts, knit sweaters, make pottery and bake cookies. She enjoyed arranging flowers, especially at the former Wilkinsburg Baptist Church which she and her family attended for more than half a century. She was a finalist in the Pillsbury Bake-Off in 1958. She was a former Girl Scout leader and belonged to Quilt Company East, AARP Chapter 828 and the former Woman's Club of Wilkinsburg.
