BELL JOHN LEWIS John Lewis Bell passed away April 16, 2014, at age 91, with his wife at his side. He was born August 17, 1922, in Elkins, West Virginia and was a lifetime resident of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. John graduated from Oliver High School and Wisconsin University. He worked 47 years for Pittsburgh National Bank and retired as Vice President of Audit. He enjoyed playing guitar professionally all around the Pittsburgh area and performed into his eighties with the Brighton Entertainers. John is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rita E. Bell; sons, Thomas J. Bell (Eva), Robert N. Bell (Robin); grandchildren, Shannon M. Kirby, Courtney K. Bell, Emily Wold (Burton), Jordan Bell, Kaitlin A. Battles (Nathan); and great-grandchildren, Sydney, Madison, Sean, Zachary, Brayden, Ruth, Reese, and Bo. A Service for John will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery in the Lower Chapel Resurrection, 204 Cemetery Lane, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
