REGIS A. "REGE" BAUER Of Monroeville, age 71, on Wednesday, August 29, 2020. Beloved husband of Veronica L. (Rice) Bauer for 49 years. Loving father of Daniel (Christie) Bauer of Monroeville and Derek (Amanda Lembesis ) Bauer of Harrisburg. Dear grandfather of Xander, Bryce, Eli and Theo. Brother of Donna (Patrick) Caulfield, the late Joan Student and the late Billy Steiner. Rege was a Vietnam War Army veteran. A 1967 graduate of Homestead High School, he also earned his Bachelor's Degree from Robert Morris University. Even though he graduated from RMU, Rege was an avid Pitt Panther fan. While Dan and Derek were being raised, Rege was a volunteer coach for their youth baseball and basketball teams in Monroeville. He is remembered as a respected and diligent coach at all of the levels the boys played. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, his viewing and services will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date. Rege will be laid to rest in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Memorial donations may be made to Arrangements with PATRICK T.
