TOTH RICHARD E. RICK Age 73, passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. He was born on July 22, 1940, in Urbana, IL, son of the late Prof. Edmund F. and Mrs. Georgena Toth. Rick is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Carol; daughter, Anne and her husband, Tristan; granddaughter, Alexandra; son, Jim and his wife, Ashley; brother, Col. James and his wife, Molly; and a large group of extended family and friends who loved him dearly. Rick was an inventor, an engineer, and a CEO, who ran several successful businesses over the course of his career. Most recently, he founded Allomet Corporation, based on technology that he developed and patented, and continued to serve on its board of directors until shortly before his passing. Earlier in life, he distinguished himself as an officer in the U.S. Army, serving on active duty in Vietnam.
