JENNINGS CYNTHIA BOOTH 79, of Rector, PA and Vero Beach, FL, died Saturday, July 6, 2013, at her home in Vero Beach, assisted by the prayers of her family. She was born August 23, 1933 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late William Wallace and Adelaide Lanz Booth. Mrs. Jennings graduated from the Ethel Walker School, class of 1951, and from Vasser College, class of 1955, with a B.A. Earlier in life, she had been a teacher at the Buckley School in New York. She was a member of St. Michael's of the Valley in Rector, the Community Church of Vero Beach, the Rolling Rock Club, Oak Harbor and Ocean Reef. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Evan D. Jennings, II in 2006; and two brothers, William W. Booth, Jr. and James Y. Booth; she is survived by two children, William B. (Sally) Van Ingen of Mill Valley, CA and Harriet V. (Howard) Love of Hillsborough, CA; three stepchildren, Christina Jennings of Napa, CA, Angelou Jennings of Ojai, CA, and Mark Jennings of Longmont, CO; five grandchildren, three step- grandchildren, and three step- great-grandchildren. She loved her dogs and her garden. She enjoyed tennis, golf, and skiing, was a talented artist, and an excellent bridge player. A Service to celebrate Cynthia's life will be held Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's of the Valley with the Rev. Dr. James B. Simons officiating. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made in Cynthia's name to the Ligonier Valley YMCA or to the University of Pittsburgh, School of Law, Office of Development, 3900 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15260.
