HARLEY REGINALD FRANCIS Reginald Francis Harley entered into eternal rest on January 30, 2015, in Pittsburgh PA. At age 99, he was the last survivor of the five siblings of George Alexander Harley and Sara Rachel Jane Williams Harley. Reginald was preceded in death by brothers, George Harley, Jr., William Harley, Russell Harley; sister, Eleanor Harley Snuffer; and wives Vivian West and Ruth Stoner. Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2015, at 1 p.m. in The National Cemetery of The Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Reginald was a product of the Pittsburgh Public School System graduating from Schenley High School in 1932. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1952 with a degree in business administration. A longtime resident of the Hill District, Reginald was co-owner of the Atlantic gasoline station on Center Avenue and a familiar face to many. Reginald enlisted in the Marine Corps during WW II; he served with honor as an aerial photo interpreter and as a mail clerk in the Pacific Theater. In 1946, he returned to civilian life and resumed his employment with the U.S. Postal Service in Pittsburgh, where he became a manager. Reginald retired in 1972. Reginald leaves to grieve his loss nephews, George Harley III of Augusta, GA, David Snuffer of Pittsburgh; niece, Jane Peyton of Norristown, PA; cousin, Sarah Davis of Pittsburgh; Myrtis Matthews dear friend and companion; and a host of other great- nephews, nieces and friends.
