Bill also donated a generous amount of time as a member to helping the people of the St. Vincent dePaul Society. Where in lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Bill's name to the St. Vincent dePaul Society C/O St. Margaret of Scotland, 310 Mansfield Avenue, Pgh., PA 15220. Preceded by his wife; and his brother, Leo Flaherty of Scott Twp. Bill is survived by his son, Brian Flaherty (Deborah); and two amazing grandchildren, Liam and Shea Flaherty of Waterford, CT; and his sister, Anna May Kapfer of Brentwood. As a member of a large family Bill is also survived by many many nephews and nieces and their many children here in Pittsburgh, throughout the country and in Ireland. Bill truly loved Pittsburgh, his family and his friends with all of his heart. Go Steelers!
