RUSSELL PAUL J. Age 65, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, passed away June 1, 2017, at Holy Cross Hospital. Born in New York City, Paul was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Irene (Appelbe) Russell. Surviving are his siblings, Sarah, Francis , John (Lisa), Rosemary (Ray) Niemczura, Elizabeth (Greg) Domaracki, James (Colleen) and Nancy (Mark) McKenna. Paul was raised in Mt. Lebanon, attended South Hills Catholic High School and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Criminology. He joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as a Special Agent stationed in Chicago before transferring to the South Florida area with the terrorist task force. Paul received a number of awards, accommodations and provided mentorship to agents prior to his retirement in 2007. Paul's passions included canine fostering and rescue, riding his Harley and spending time with his beloved friends in South Florida. His volunteer work including Meals on Wheels touched many people's lives and his contribution to the community will be missed. Services were held in Ft. Lauderdale on June 4, 2017. SELBY RICHARD J. Age 92, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2017, after a short illness in McKinney, TX. He was born on December 24, 1924, in Chicago, IL, the son of Albert Paul and Susanna Selby. He graduated from Ben Avon High School and Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration. On July 3, 1948, Dick married Betty (Hartman) Selby, whom he met at Cornell University. He had a 30+ year career with US Steel as a CPA and a second career as the Tax Collector for Fox Chapel Borough. He was a longtime resident of Fox Chapel and member of Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church. Dick enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife, traveling the world, and listening to music, especially jazz. He will be remembered for his humor and his robust laugh. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Don P. Selby. He is survived by his wife, Betty (Hartman) Selby, of 68 years; son, Glenn Selby and his wife, Renee Selby; daughter, Carolyn Selby and her husband, Steve Karney; grandson, Ryan Selby-Karney and his wife, Samantha Selby-Karney; granddaughters, Ashley Selby-Karney and Haley Selby-Karney; grandson, Troy Selby-Karney; great-grandchildren, Jayden Simmons and Gracie Selby-Karney. Beloved husband of Janet (Steinecker); loving father of Christopher, Jonathan (Christina), and Kathleen (Zachary) Roeder; dear grandfather of Claudia and Amelia Eakin; brother of Thomas (Betty) Eakin and Fritz (Marjie) Breisch; uncle of Brooke and Blair Steinecker, Zane, Jordan, and Zachary Breisch, Ashley Langston, and Breezie Wheeler. Jack was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1962, California University Fullerton, CA, Carnegie Mellon, and he retired as a teacher for Taylor Allderdice High School. He grew up in Franklin, PA and during his years there was active in sports. He then left for California to attend college and worked for Rockwell on projects dealing with the space program. He then returned to PA in 1972 and got his teaching degree from Carnegie Mellon. Jack enjoyed traveling and went on many trips with his family. His happiest times were spent with children, grandchildren, and extended family.
