ANDABAKER JOAN Age 87, of Bridgeville, PA, formerly of Donora, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2018. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rudy Andabaker of 63 years. She is survived by their four children, Marcia (Joe) Novek of Manlius, NY, Susan (Greg) Rogozinski of Mount Lebanon, PA, Barbara (Michael) Steinmetz of Coraopolis, PA and Rudy (Denise) Andabaker of Garden Ridge, TX; plus seven grandchildren, Joseph, Rhette, Erika, Hope, Kara, Ashley and Paige; three great- grandchildren, Ethan, McKenna and Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews. Born on March 25, 1931, Joan was the daughter of Helen (Amatangelo) and Joseph Jackman and was raised in Donora, along with her two sisters, Philomena, and Marie; and brother, Joseph. She graduated from Donora High School and pursued a business degree before her marriage to Rudy in April 1953. Most of all, Joan loved entertaining family and friends while in the latest fashion. She made every single holiday special for everyone. When a family member or friend knocked on the door, she would stop everything and they would all enjoy sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of tea or glass of wine sharing life stories and memories of family. Also, she enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. The bounty was shared with the neighbors. She never stopped learning and being active. She was an active member of the Mid Mon Valley All Sports Hall of Fame Committee along with Rudy for many years and was honored with the Outstanding Volunteer Award for her support in the yearly banquet. For her Donora High School Reunion, she worked diligently to get all her classmates back together to share memories of their high school years. Family was always first for Joan and this tradition continues with her children. After raising her family, Joan set out on a new career at Cox's Department Store in Charleroi, PA. She enjoyed her many friendships with the staff and clients who loved her guidance and fashion sense. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, Donora, PA. She also enjoyed her time spent as a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union of America, and Elks Lodge. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends in the Pittsburgh, PA, Garden Ridge, TX, Manlius, NY and the Adirondacks. She was raised in McKees Rocks where she spent many days ice skating at her father's rink. She married Stan Stephens in 1955 and had five children. She worked at Suburban General Hospital as a registered nurse where she worked everywhere but the boiler room. She retired in 1994 as a cardiac rehab nurse. She enjoyed golfing, quilting, knitting, and spending time with family and friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Stan Stephens. She is survived by her children, Bill (Sandy), Susie (Mike), Wendy (Tim), Tim, and Mary Kay (George). She had 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Lois Linnan, Bob Singer (Debbie), and Edward Singer (Steven); and many nieces and nephews. REYNOLDS DAVID JAMES DIGBY Age 49, of Ohioville, formerly of Beaver, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Heritage Valley, Beaver. Born January 28, 1969, in Erie, he was a son of James and Betty (Besong) Reynolds, of Vanport, PA and a graduate of Beaver Area High School. David, known to the Pittsburgh radio and local music communities as Digby Reynolds, was an Executive Producer for the Pittsburgh Penguins Radio Network and took to the air as a fill-in DJ on the network's flagship station, WXDX-FM. A natural radio personality, his unique and friendly voice, peppered with a dry sense of humor made him the first choice for numerous radio commercials and a listener favorite. A longtime advocate of the Beaver County music scene, David was a familiar sight at alternative-rock concerts throughout the region, including appearances at the Rockin' the Suburbs Festival. He was Lutheran by faith. In addition to his parents, James and Betty, he is survived by his sister, Nancy J. (Mark) Korcinsky, Brighton Twp.; and his nephews, Heath and Alex Korcinsky. David made anywhere he was more fun and will be sadly missed by his family and numerous friends. McCORMICK WILLIAM C. MICK, Jr. Age 75, of Penn Township, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2018, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot. He never let his Parkinson's Disease define him and now he is running free. He graduated from North Catholic in Pittsburgh and received his degree in accounting from Duquesne University. He was Director of Data Processing for Butler County, he worked in the IT department at the Central Blood Bank and he was a project manager for Hewlett Packard before retiring. He enjoyed his dogs and raised, trained, showed and raced Alaskan Malamutes. He was a longtime member of the Butler County Kennel Club, served as President for many years and held conformation classes to teach people how to show their dogs. He also belonged to the Butler Dog Training Association and the Alaskan Malamute Club of America. He had many interests and talents. His great sense of humor was evident in a column which he wrote for the Butler Eagle in the early 90's. He loved photography and combined his photos with his writing in some very clever photo essays and travelogues. He loved playing in the dirt, planting trees, mowing grass and growing great blueberries. He also enjoyed music and loved the Pittsburgh Pops concerts and the Broadway Series. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Katherine K. Kathie McCormick; and his sister, Karlene (Patrick) Lee; and his brother, John D. McCormick; and many friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. McCormick, Sr. and Elizabeth D. McCormick; and his sister, Lyn Donley. Friends of William C. SCHIRO JEAN MAE Age 91, of Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of Wilton, CT, passed into God's hands and into her husband's arms on Thursday, May 3, 2018. During her last six years, she resided at Marian Hall Personal Care Home, spent one month at Vincentian Nursing Home and her passing occurred at Good Samaritan Hospice. Born September 12, 1926, in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Irene Kurtz. Jean attended Bassick High School in Bridgeport, CT, from 1942-1945 and graduated from Booth and Bayliss Commercial School in Bridgeport in 1947. She was employed as a secretary at Packard Company in Bridgeport during the 1950's. She married Daniel Edward Schiro on August 22, 1953, and just celebrated 64 years together on August 22, 2017, shortly before his passing on August 26, 2017. Jean's most rewarding job was being the most devoted and loving mother to her children and the most caring, loving and dedicated Nana to her two granddaughters. She always took the time to be present in their lives and stayed connected with her grandkids as they got older. She will be dearly missed. HERRING WILLIAM D. AGE 65, DIE...
HERRING WILLIAM D. Age 65, died peacefully at home on May 3, 2018. Forty-year resident of Bethel Park, originally from Homewood. William was an avid golfer, fisherman and he retired as an electrician in 2015. He was a proud member of IBEW Local Union 5. William is survived by his three children, son, Kwam Herring; daughter, Manika Turnbull (John Turnbull); daughter, Jada Senn (Matthew). He is also survived by five siblings and many nieces and nephews. William will be remembered as a hardworking father who some called Too Tall. He is loved and missed. Visitation will be held at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. A Funeral Ceremony will take place immediately following visitation at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. www.jeffersonmemorial.biz Send condolences post-gazette.com/gb

DURAY MICHAEL Age 93, of Mt. Washington, peacefully on Thursday, May 3, 2018. Father of Ron (Lynne), Carol and the late Michael Duray; also survived by brothers, sisters, loving family, and friends. He was a devoted Catholic and served his country in WWII. Michael was a dedicated Journeyman Plumber, Local 27, for over 60 years and used his skills to help countless people well into his 80's. He will be remembered by his family for his generosity towards many global causes. Family and friends are invited to meet at the BRUSCO - FALVO FUNERAL HOME, 214 Virginia Avenue, Mt.
