Beloved wife to Edward (deceased); loving mother to Joseph (deceased), Ellen Amrhein (Carl), Edward, Jr. (Karen), Stephen, Jill Fabic (Ronald); grandma to Ted (Jamie), Shannon (T.J.), Steven (Kyla), Eileen (Justin), Joshua (Laura), Michael, Peter, Anthony, David, Natalie (Kenneth), Jillian, Colleen, and Christopher; proud great-grandma to Olivia, Alyssa, Hayden, Eleanor, Tristan, Ben, Brooklyn, Margaret, E.J., and William; loving sister to John (deceased), Eileen, Anna (deceased), Rita, and Daniel (deceased); and aunt to over 40 nieces and nephews. Mary was born November 7, 1928, in Boston, MA and grew up in the Jamaica Plain area of Boston. She was the daughter of John and Ellen (Franklin) Greaney, both Irish immigrants. She worked at Sears and Roebucks after graduating high school until she met, fell in love, and married Ed in 1956 and moved to Pittsburgh. Their romance lasted nearly 60 years until Ed's passing in 2015. Mary had a fun-filled life traveling with Ed and her family all over North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Mary was a lifelong avid reader, enjoyed volunteering at church and at the various clubs and organizations in which she was a member. Mary especially enjoyed her time volunteering at the Jubilee Soup Kitchen and she continued to support them throughout the years. Her generosity towards her family and friends was always present, and her front door was always open for drop-in visitors for coffee while she had her tea. She loved shopping and was always on the hunt to for a good deal. Special thanks to Stacey Harris, Visiting Angels and Allegheny Health Network Hospice for their compassionate assistance in caring for her during her last few months. SCHLAFHAUSER SHELLI J. Age 59, of Ellwood City, went to soar with the angels on Monday, July 30, 2018, while under the care of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born on February 26, 1959, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Shelli was a proud registered nurse for several hospitals in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. Along with her love for nursing came a passion for caring for others, specifically her children and grandchildren. Shelli loved to shop and spoil her grandchildren, as well as host family and friends for gatherings at her home. She enjoyed singing, dancing, shopping, the beach and the pool. She had the most amazing combination of love and sense of humor. Her smile was comforting and her laugh was contagious. She was a fighter and an inspiration to all of those around her. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 37 years, John W. Schlafhauser, whom she married on April 24, 1981; her father, William Brawner and his wife, Cecelia, of Gettysburg; her mother, Christi Harrison and her husband, Richard, of Cranberry Twp.; her children, John R. Bible of Cranberry Twp. and his stepmother, Mary Mignanelli Sprole of Cranberry Twp. He was an employee of LA Prima Espresso Company and had also been formerly employed with the Pro Bicycle Company and Jimmy John's of Pittsburgh. A graduate of Seneca Valley High School, he received his associate's degree in welding from Wyo Tech, Indiana, PA. He was an avid cyclist and member of the Full Psych Adventure Team and held the time record cycling from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia and back with the Crush the Commonwealth race. Austin was known for helping people and always had a smile for everyone. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Valerie Marie Bible, Ambridge; a brother, Jacob Bible, New Brighton; a half-brother, Alex J. Bible, Cranberry Twp.; two stepsisters, Kaitlyn M. Sprole, Cranberry Twp., and Emily K. Sprole, Harmony, PA.; paternal grandfather, Norman Bible, New Brighton; three uncles and two aunts, Norman Bible Jr. and his wife Brenda, David Kisella, and Susan Felton and her husband, Bill, and numerous cousins. BURK VIRGINIA "GINGER" Was born on March 12, 1942 and passed at 5:01 a.m., on July 12th, 2018. At that moment, earth lost a true angel while heaven gained one. Ginger graduated Portage Area High School in 1960. She attended Penn State and then graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.S. in Home Ec Ed (now known as Family and Consumer Science) in 1964. She went on for a master's degree in Education emphasizing Family Life at San Diego State, while also taking post Master Degree courses at UCLA and Nursery School Practicum at Pacific Oaks College. In 1967, she began teaching at Grossmont College in San Diego, CA. After moving back to Murrysville, PA she taught at Head Start programs in Pittsburgh as well as West Virginia. She was also involved in teaching programs for the young working with the United Way in Lynchburg, VA. In 1995, Ginger went with her husband to live in Chalon-sur-Saône, France for an extraordinary year and a half. She made many friends there, while entertaining many friends and family who visited from the US. In addition to traveling, she was an avid tennis player and skier. Ginger was a devout Christian involved in several Lynchburg based Bible study groups. She also rode her bike for Christian Wheel Power Cyclists, and she was a faithful and active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Ginger is survived by her husband, Gerald Jerry Burk; two children from a previous marriage, a son, David Richardson, and a daughter, Kris Anne Strothman. She was a very loving mother and grandmother who greatly enjoyed her six grandchildren, Kent, Sarah, Hanah and Lana Richardson, Austin and Trenton Strothman. Ginger was the daughter of Richard and Annaclare Logue who lived in Portage, PA. She is also survived by a brother, Rick Logue and a sister-in-law, Patricia Logue, who live in Leesburg, Virginia. They also have two children, Sharon Hamilton and Michael Logue. Ginger also has a sister Pat Logue, and a brother-in-law, Bob Borter, who live in Brattleboro, Vermont. Ginger was a genuine person who had the ability to make and keep friends from all over the world. She will be truly missed by all those who were blessed to meet and know her. The memorial service for Ginger will be at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1000 Langhorne Road, Lynchburg, VA on Saturday, August 25th at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the church's youth ministry can be made. Mark Dowler Milantoni, 59, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Oakmont, PA, passed away on July 26, 2018, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital following a brief illness due to Multiple Myeloma. Born November 21, 1958, in Pittsburgh, PA, Mark had been a resident of Charlotte County for one year after moving from Pittsburgh. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. A loving father and friend, Mark is survived by his children, Kate and John; father, John Milantoni; brother, Matthew (Anna) Milantoni; two sisters, Mary (Michael) Felix and Lauren Milantoni; as well as three nieces and one nephew; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Nancy (Dowler) Milantoni. He also leaves behind many dear friends - from his childhood to friends he just met while living in Florida and everywhere in between. Mark was a voracious reader who loved all genres. He was also an avid movie buff and could quote movie lines out of thin air. Being a lifelong Pittsburgher, Mark loved the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins. BOGONOVICH ILIJA "ELI" (BOGUNOVIC) Age 91, of Westmoreland City, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Sylvia Felluca Bogonovich; siblings, Sofija Bertoluzzi, Jovanka (Joan) Vorkapic, Dusan (Buckey), Manda Maljan, Marija (Mary) Thomas, Milica (Gay) Hofer, Milkan (Mike), and one infant brother. He is survived by his three children, David Bogonovich and his wife, Judy, Renee Jovanovic and her husband, Rodoljub and Rebecca Fiorini and her husband, Caesar; five grandchildren, Brittany and Mark Lubinsky, Luke, Daniel, Mila and Emma.
