MINCONE OUIDA A. Age 87, of Clairton, passed away on Wed., Dec. 12, 2018 in Kane Regional Center, Glen Hazel. Born Aug. 15, 1931 in Camden, AR, she was a daughter of the late Lester H. and Willa (Heldebrand) Arnold. A retired bank teller for Equibank in Clairton and a member of Pine Run United Methodist Church, Ouida loved to play cards, especially with her 500 Bid Card Club. She joins her husband, the late Frank A. Mincone, who passed away May 12, 2011. Ouida is survived by sons, F. Arnold Mincone of Pleasant Hills and Howard (Rachel) Mincone of South Park; grandchildren, Daniella Vale and Madison and Brooklin Mincone; and also nieces and nephews. GALIOTO FRANK P. Age 80, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Born to the late Frank and Mary Balestrieri Galioto. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jo Weir Galioto; and son, John (Andrea) Galioto. He was preceded in death by his son, Frank (surviving Melanie) Galioto. Frank is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Alyssa and Frank Galioto and Lauren and Anna Galioto; his siblings, Ann Galioto (Tony, deceased) Renda of Tamarac, Florida, Tom (Jean) Galioto of St. Augustine, Florida, Catherine (Sal) Marino of Lexington, Kentucky, Angelo Galioto of Pittsburgh; and was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Galioto (Carmen, deceased) Gemus. Frank was the son-in-law of the late John and Gertrude Weir; and brother-in-law of the late Tom (surviving Kathy) Weir and John (Eleanor) Weir. He is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Frank was born and lived his entire life in Pittsburgh, PA. He graduated from Washington Trade School. He served in the United States Navy from 1960-1965 and was on the USS Lake Champlain, during its time as the recovery ship for the ?rst manned space missions. Frank worked at Bacharach Industrial Instrument Company for 43 years until his retirement. There he met his wife, Mary Jo. They enjoyed 51 beautiful years of marriage. Frank was a warm and loving person, who never met a stranger. A devout Catholic, Frank faithfully attended Mass at St. Stanislaus and St. Joseph. His biggest passion was his family. Frank's children and siblings will miss his daily (or more frequent) telephone calls when he was known to talk about his favorite foods and sports teams. Friends will be received at BOCK FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 1500 Mt. KEMP BRENDA ANN (BALLARD) Brenda Ann (Ballard) Kemp, RN, age 79, died peacefully at her home in Nashua on December 11, 2018. Mrs. Kemp was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 2, 1939, a daughter of the late Everett W. and Viola Ray (Crabtree) Ballard. Brenda was the wife of Thomas Kemp. Before, moving to New Hampshire, they had lived in Pennsylvania and Colorado. Mrs. Kemp was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years and had worked at several hospitals throughout her career. While living in Pittsburgh, she had worked at Allegheny General Hospital, and the Fitzsimons Hospital in Denver, Colorado for a short time. Brenda had earned her Associate's Degree in Nursing. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Phyllis Wink; and her daughter, Cassie Lembke. Besides her beloved and devoted husband, Tom; she is survived by her granddaughter, Kayla Kemp; her brother, Everett “Woody” Ballard; and several nieces and nephews. METAL CHARLES MICHAEL Age 63, of Coal Center, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018, in Pittsburgh's Monte?ore Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Charles was a 1978 graduate of California University of PA with a degree in Technology Education. He was an avid rugby player and also served as a coach for CAL U Roosterhead Rugby Club for many years. He was a skilled, award-winning businessman who served as the President and Owner of C.M.M. Associates since 1991. He had a hearty, infectious laugh and a mischievous twinkle in his eye, charming people everywhere he went. He was a skilled bowhunter, loyal friend and mentor to many. He is survived by Jeannine Metal, his loving wife of 40 years (Coal Center, PA); his sister, Charlene Givens and her husband, Ted (Export, PA); his sister, Josephine Metal-Corbin and her husband, David (Omaha, NE); and niece, Quinn Metal Corbin (Queens, NY). He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Metal; and his mother, Josephine Metal (Zuffante). She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Brula. Kim will always be remembered as a kind hearted person with a vibrant personality. BAZMI HASSAN, M.D. Of Sewickley Heights, PA passed away on December 9, 2018, at age 81, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 11, 1937 in Shiraz, Iran to the late Mohamad Javad Zia and Batool Bazmi. Hassan was the beloved husband of Dr. Neptune Kasraie Bazmi for 53 years; the loving father of Bahar, Babak and Shervin; cherished grandfather of Jasmine and Haley Heusey; and survived by his dear niece, Hengameh Holly Bazmi; and several other family members both in the Unites States and in Iran. Prior to immigrating to the United States in 1974 with his family, Hassan graduated from Pahlavi Medical School and served in the Army Health Corp. In the U.S., Hassan completed his residency in General Surgery at Allegheny General Hospital, and later became the Head of General Surgery and President of the Medical Staff at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Passavant Hospital. In addition, Hassan was a Fellow of the American Society of Abdominal Surgeons. He was in private surgical practice for over 27 years in the North Hills, where he served thousands of patients in his community. In addition to being a dedicated surgeon, Hassan found much joy in spending time with friends and family, playing tennis and basketball, and singing classical Persian music. Remembrance services will be held in his honor at the Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community (100 Norman Drive) in Cranberry Township, PA on Friday, December 14th from 6-8 p.m. EST. Harvey was a CPA who graduated from St. Justin High and Duquesne University. He was founder and creator of “Certi?ed Fast Play.” He was a pioneer in the Pro-Life movement. JASON MITCHELL Age 24 of Fort Carson, Colorado formerly of Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Export, PA passed away tragically from injuries sustained in Afghanistan on Sunday, December 2, 2018. Beloved husband of Lillie Renee (Ashbaugh) McClary; loving father of Jett Isaac and Jason James McClary; adored son of Raymond and Jolynn Maiolie; brother of Jennifer (Jason) Lorent and Jeffrey (Katrina) Ritter; son-in-law of Eric Ashbaugh and Lillie (Mike) Ayers; brother-in-law of Eric, Ryan, Autumn, and Faith Ashbaugh and Kim Nielsen; also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Jason was a hard worker who attained his certi?cation in machining while attending Kiski Area High School. He was a devoted Christian and attended Keystone Christian Church in Export. His hobbies included working on his Corvette, riding dirt bikes, and shooting guns. Jason was a devoted father and husband who loved spending time with his family. FRIEDMAN BERNARD M. Age 93, died peacefully after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. A Pittsburgher his whole life, he had a sense of humor and a joie de vivre that he passed on to his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
