GREGORY E. KLISS Age 65, of Mt. Lebanon, unexpectedly passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020, at his home. Loving brother of Myron Kliss (Carly), Colette Kliss (Allen), and Kimberly Jenkins (Rikki); cherished uncle of Noland (Amanda), Dylan (Lily), Chiradee, and Philomena; treasured son of the late Edward and Philomena Kliss. Greg was a great businessman and very knowledgeable. He was a long time architect with Eli Lilly & Company and the recipient of seven AI awards throughout his career. Greg enjoyed fishing, painting and was a movie fanatic. He will be remembered for his hard work ethic, artistic and creative ideas, and most of all, love of family. Greg was both a loving and giving brother and uncle. He loved to spend time with his siblings, and will be truly missed by all who knew him. Services will be private. Beloved husband of the late Lois M. Jenny Vita. Loving father of Cindy (Larry) Cirelli. Brother of William (Marjorie) Vita. Dear grandfather of Amy Cirelli and Gary (Jill) Cirelli. NANCY (FISANICK) VANDRAK Age 84, of Chippewa Township, Beaver Falls, PA died on Saturday October 24th at home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Dr. Robert Francis Vandrak, in 2013 and her son Dr. Robert Stephen Vandrak, in 2015 married to Mrs. Heidi (Black) Vandrak. Born June 1936 in Barnesboro, PA, she was the daughter of Michael and Julia (Dercotch) Fisanick. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Michael Fisanick. Survived by her brother, William Fisanick and sister-in-law Nancy Fisanick and sister Patricia (Fisanick) Golgosky and brother-in-law William Golgosky and the following children: Mrs. Kathy (Vandrak) Hansan married to Mr. Kevin Hansan, Mrs. Valerie (Vandrak) Kunkel married to Dr. Thomas Kunkel, Mrs. Michelle (Vandrak) Vojtek married to Mr. Edward Vojtek and Mr. Kenneth Vandrak married to Mrs. Heather (Yalich) Vandrak. Also survived by 15 grandchildren: Julia Vandrak, Jane (Luke) Roman, Robert P. Vandrak, Stephen Vandrak, Kylee Hansan, Jonathan Hansan, Kristen (Bill) Caplan, Kevin Kunkel, Craig Kunkel, Ashley Vojtek, Gregory Vojtek, Stephanie Vojtek, Chloe Vandrak, Carter Vandrak, and Corynn Vandrak; and one great-grandson, Grayson Caplan. After her graduation from John Carroll High School, Carrolltown, PA, she enrolled in a nursing program at Mercy Hospital, Johnstown, PA, where she obtained her Nursing (RN) degree. She later continued her education and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and Psychology from Geneva College, Beaver Falls, PA. She then obtained a Master of Education and Counseling degree from Penn State University, University Park, PA, where she was inducted into Pi Lambda Theta, a National Education Honor Society. Nancy's employment history began as a Registered Nurse at Miner's Hospital, Spangler, PA, Magee-Womens Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA, and Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. In Leavenworth, Kansas she was a Visiting Nurse for the Leavenworth County Health Department and in Chippewa Township she performed Paramedical Physical Exams for Equifax, Greentree, PA. She was married to Dr. Robert F. Vandrak for 55 years, who retired as a Colonel from the United States Dental Corps. As an Army Colonel's wife she spent 21 years traveling with him and their 5 children to the following areas: Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland OH, Alexandria VA, Fort Dix, NJ, Joppatowne, MD, Kansas City, MO, Kaiserslautern, Germany, Fort Leavenworth, KS. She was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church, Chippewa Township, Beaver Falls, PA since 1981. Rose Rita was the beloved wife of Angelo Consolmagno; loving mother of Joseph (Alexis) Consolmagno and JoAnn (Brian) Dietz; cherished Nana of Brian, Daniel (Amanda), Joseph (Cassie), Lisa (Joe) and Marissa. She was the proud Great-Nana of three great-grandchildren, whom she adores. Sister of Salvatore Colosimo of Butler and the late John Colosimo. MICHAEL T. FARLEY March 28, 1953 - October 12, 2020 Michael, currently from Coraopolis, PA, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 12, 2020, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Watertown, NY, Michael is survived by his son, Jeremy (wife Pam) and his grandson, Parker who reside in Columbus, OH. He is also survived by his six siblings, Kathy (Gary) Dunkerley of Schenectady, NY; Farley (Greg) Schlass of Wexford, PA; Mary Farley of Vadnais Heights, MN; John (Roxanne) Farley of Two Harbors, MN; Paul (Jan Bergman) Farley of Arden Hills, MN; and Maureen (Mark) Dindak of Imperial, PA; as well as many beautiful nieces and nephews both near and far. Michael was a gentle soul with love of reading, sailing, tai chi, music and yoga. Formerly a State Police Trainer for URI and an Insurance Claims Adjuster, Michael also worked for Giant Eagle in Moon Twp. for ten years. Now retired, he volunteered for Faith in Action, of Sewickley PA and made many a friend, until the progression of his illness made him relinquish driving. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a celebration of Michael's life will be held at a future date. Michael was proud to have voted early. His life, love and memory will live long in all that knew him. BETTY (LYONS) TURNER Of Pleasant Hills, passed peacefully at the age of 96 on Friday, October 23, 2020, at Paramount Senior Living South Hills. She was the beloved wife of the late Byron (Bud) Turner, for over 60 years and the daughter of the late Edward and Sarah Lyons. Betty is survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends. Betty was born and raised in State College, PA where she met and married the love of her life, Bud Turner. Betty lived with Bud's family, his father a Penn State professor, while awaiting Bud's return from WW II. Betty and Bud resided in State College for several years before moving to Pittsburgh in the early 1950's. They lived in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh, primarily at Prospect Park, Whitehall and followed by more than 25 years at the Pleasant Hills Apartments where she and Bud had many friends and fond memories. Betty completed her cosmetology training in State College and worked as a professional hair stylist for more than 50 years at the same salon until she retired in her mid eighties. She had an extraordinary sense of style and fashion and was often thought to be much younger than her actual age. Betty was kind, gentle and loving with a contagious zest for life who warmed all who knew her with her radiant smile and generous heart. She was a faithful, longtime member of the Jefferson United Methodist Church who was always present and helping at church functions and social events. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at Jefferson United Methodist Church, 310 Gill Hall Road, Jefferson Hills, PA, on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. Final Interment will be at Centre County Memorial Park in State College, PA. PAUL E. BYRNES Paul E. Byrnes, of the Northside, on Sunday, October 25, 2020. Born November 1, 1924 in Pittsburgh, PA. Son of the late John and Mable Byrnes. Husband of the late Margaret Dorothy (Flaherty) Byrnes. Loving father of Mark T. Byrnes (the late Maryanne) and Paul J. Byrnes (Mary Grace). Brother of Betty Popeck and the late John Byrnes, Mable Kuth, Frank Byrnes, Ann Byrnes, Pat Vano, and Jim Byrnes; proud grandfather of Michelle Byrnes, Ryan Byrnes (Tracy), Maura Kalchthaler (Jeremey), Evan Byrnes (Kassandra), Robert Byrnes (Danielle), Daniel Byrnes (Erin), and Julie Stanny (Drew). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Paul was a World War II Army verteran and a Fire Fighter for the City of Pittsburgh, retiring in 1971 as a Captain. After retirement, he pursued a career as an Electrician. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a season ticket holder for 50 years. When Paul passed on Sunday, that was the first Steeler game he ever missed since they were founded in 1933. Friends received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 806 Perry Highway, North Hills. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Catherine of Sweden Church, Saturday 1 PM.
