KOLOSVARY REGINA M. June 10, 1933, to September 13, 2014, of Augusta, GA, Regina, age 81, of Pittsburgh, PA, died peacefully in her sleep on September 13, 2014. Regina was a loving and devoted wife and mother who cherished family time, her deep faith, and love of the Lord. She placed the needs of others ahead of her own and opened the door to family and friends. She always had a smile in her heart, openly shared her love, and enjoyed reading, gardening, and family dinners. Regina is survived by her daughter, Gemma and son-in-law, Jim Frock; daughter, Kathlyn; and sons, Matthew, John, Bruce, and Peter and daughter-in-law, Donna; grandson, PJ and his mother, Nancy. As one of 12 children, Regina is survived by her sisters, Cathy and Bernadette and two of nine brothers, Tom and Regis. She was predeceased by her husband, Bill; daughter, Deborah; and grandson, Michael. She will be remembered for her enormous heart and service to others. As a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary in Pittsburgh, PA, she served as a shut-in volunteer and Eucharist Lay Minister. Her deep faith was constant in her life and provided her peace and strength. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the caregivers and staff of Augusta Gardens, Alliance Hospice, and the friends and colleagues who lent a hand or offered a kind word during the past five years. FERGUSON JAMES S. Of Verona, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at the age of 75. Jim was the much loved husband for 50 years of Kathi (Niesemann) Ferguson; father of Jim (Debbie) Ferguson and Fred Ferguson; grandfather of Steven Ferguson; brother- in-law of Tedda Niesemann Howard (Stan); nieces, Agnes Howard, Erin Frank (Rusty) Anderson, Michelle Hughes, Mary Beth Frank (Dave) Del Pino; and nephew, Sean (Anita) Frank; and nine grandnieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his parents, James S. Ferguson and Mary Ferguson; and twin sister, Barbara Ferguson (Nevil) Frank. Jim graduated from Wilkinsburg High School and then worked at Westinghouse as a non-destructive inspector for 28 years. During his Westinghouse years, he also took time out to join the army for six months and later joined the Air National Guard, serving his country for a total number of 20 years. Jim was active in his community by serving on the Verona Zoning Hearing Board and managed the Pirates Little League Baseball Team for several years. Jim was active with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and became a trainer for Cub Scout leaders. Jim was a Deacon at the former Riverside Presbyterian Church, Oakmont, and was an original recycler by collecting tons of glass with his sons and a few other church volunteers. Jim also enjoyed sports car racing and earned his SCCA license in Marlboro, MD, during one rainy weekend. He later became a timer and scorer for the Vintage Car Races held in Schenley Park. Friends and relatives are invited to a Memorial Service on September 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. in Oakmont Presbyterian Church at Pennsylvania and Fifth Street, Oakmont. Penny was instrumental in the establishment of the Three Rivers Arts Festival in the late 1950s, and became nationally known for her work managing charity antique shows in St. Louis, Washington, D.C., Connecticut, New York City, and Pittsburgh. She was a member of the Garden Club of Allegheny County, the Women's Committee of Carnegie Museum, the Colony Club of New York City, and a former member of Allegheny Country Club. CROOKS GRACE EDRIE (DeTRUDE) Of Shaler Township, beloved wife to Norman G. Crooks, died peacefully on September 16, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Howard Jay DeTrude, Sr. and Beatrice (Shore) DeTrude. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Mark E. (Kathleen) Crooks, Norma J. (William) Meredith, Glenn H. Crooks, and Matthew B. (Mary) Crooks; beloved grandmother of eight; devoted great- grandmother of three. Grace was the sister of Martha Lou Stanton and the late Howard and Edward DeTrude. She devoted her life to her family and participating in church where she was a past treasurer. Grace held several jobs in accounting and adult education. She was a member of the Eastern Star, a past volunteer instructor with the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council, and a devoted wife and mother.
