CURTIN VIRGINIA E. (CAPERS) Age 92, passed away peacefully, on April 23, 2016, at Concordia at Rebecca Residence in Allison Park, PA, where she resided. Born on June 6, 1923, to the late Emma and Dr. Richard LeGrand Capers of Bellefonte, PA, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Margaret M. Decker and Richard L. Capers of State College. Virginia was a 1942 graduate of Bellefonte High School and earned a BA from Bucknell University and an MS in Deaf Education from the University of Pittsburgh. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Furst Curtin also of Bellefonte. Over the years the family shared residence not only in Pittsburgh, but also in Bellefonte. Virginia was a dedicated homemaker, longtime volunteer for the Western PA School for the Deaf and Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Edgewood. Also an avid reader and Bridge player, she and her husband enjoyed entertaining and valued spending time with their good friends and family. Devoted mother to their son, Robert F. Curtin, Jr. (deceased), she is survived by her daughter, Marcy Wolf (Jack); grandson, Michael C. Crimmins (Donielle); great-grandchildren, Erin Crimmins and Michael W. Crimmins of Lake Forest, IL; and nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your charity of choice. Services and interment are private. Arrangements made by the THOMAS L.
