BLAHA THELMA RUTH Age 85, of Port Vue, died Jan. 12, 2014. She was born in McKeesport on Nov. 27, 1928, and was the daughter of Michael and Katherine O'Brien Guidos. She was the wife of the late James L. Blaha; and the mother of the late James K. Blaha, who died January 17, 1992. She is survived by her children, Beverly (Jeffery) Handra of Washington, PA, and Jeffrey (Charlene) Blaha of Bristow, VA. She was the grandmother of Julia and Jaime Handra and Truman and Rory Blaha; and the sister of Richard (Rose) Guidos of W. Mifflin. She was a member of the Port Vue United Methodist Church. Before Thelma's children were born, she was employed at Blank's Drug Store and Butler's Drug Store in Duquesne and Balsamo's Market and Sunny Lane Market in McKeesport. After raising her children, she assisted her husband at the former Blaha Real Estate Agency.
