CORWIN SYLVIA P. A resident of Friendship Village, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2014. Born on May 4, 1918, she grew up in the state of Indiana. She was a long-term resident of Upper St. Clair, wife of the late John Corwin and mother of the late Chris Carlisle. Sylvia had a lifetime interest in raising orchids and was a long standing member of The Orchid Society of W. PA. She played golf, was a past member of St. Clair Country Club, and enjoyed cooking, bridge, and crossword puzzles. She is survived by a sister; a stepson; and step-grandchildren. There will be a Committal Service on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 509 Washington Rd., Mt. Lebanon and a Memorial Service on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. at Friendship Village, 1290 Boyce Rd., Upper St. Clair.
