PILARSKI WILL THOMAS In his parents' arms, surrounded by his family at home, Will "Power" Pilarski, 10 years old, of Hampton Township, passed away from an epic battle with brain cancer on Saturday, December 30, 2017. Will was first diagnosed with brain cancer (Medulloblastoma) at the age of 6 years old. Over the course of the next year, he underwent intensive chemoradiation therapy whereby his battle cry became: "Will" Power - I Can, I Will ... Watch Me. Given a less than 20% chance of survival, a high chance of needing academic assistance and stunted growth due to intensive treatment - Will did overcome all of those odds and triumphed. He remained a straight A student at Hampton Central Elementary; a permanent fixture on the Hampton Wolverine tournament baseball team; a four time PA Gymnastic State Qualifier. He beat cancer! and did so with constant determination, Will Power, and a contagious smile that touched the lives of an enormous number of people along the way. Two and a half years later, at the age of 9 years old, he was diagnosed with a second brain cancer (Glioblastoma) with a chance of survival near zero. When he was given months to live, he lasted for over a year; when given weeks, he lasted months; when given days, he lasted weeks; and when given mere hours, he persevered for days. Never giving up, constantly fighting until his final two big breaths in his parents' arms. He will be sadly missed by his parents, Thomas and Abigail Pilarski; his adoring sisters, Tyler and Halee; his caring brother, Noah; loving grandmother, Mary Ann Pilarski; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and too many to count amazing friends, coaches, and teammates. Will's family will welcome friends from 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on January 4, 2018, at KING FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2841 Woodland Circle in Allison Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018, at St. Catherine of Sweden Roman Catholic Church, 2554 Wildwood Road in Allison Park, with Father Steven V. Neff officiating. PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Today, Will's battle rages on as his tumor has been donated to Children's Hospital whereby it will be grown and given to scientists and researchers around the world to help find a cure for cancer. Thus, in lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in honor of Will Power Pilarski to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 to help Will in the fight to find a cure! #WillPowerForever!
