BOGGS EDWARD “EDDIE” LOUIS, Jr. Age 87, of Zebulon, passed away April 27, 2018. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, son of the late Edward Louis Boggs, Sr. and Mildred Grace Bain Boggs. He worked over 60 years in the steel and construction industries becoming Vice President and General Manager for a number of companies during his long career. Woodworking, fishing and cooking were his passions. Starting his life on the original Boggs Homestead in Moon Township, PA, farming and agriculture were an important part of his life and he proudly owned a collection of John Deere tractors. He was a 32nd degree Mason for 35 years. Survivors include his wife of 68 years: Martha Boggs; children and their spouses: Edward and Pat Boggs, Gary and Laurie Boggs, Kimberly and Joe Wagner, Donna and Keith Pruss; grandchildren and their spouses: Chris and Laura Boggs, John Boggs, Ryan and Jillian Boggs, Nicole Boggs, Kyle Boggs, Hudson Pruss and Payton Pruss; great- grandchildren: Madison and Mason; brothers and sisters: John Boggs (deceased) and wife, Annetta (deceased), Wayne Boggs and wife, Denise, Leonard Boggs and wife, Rose (deceased). Friends may visit the family on Friday, May 4, 2018, 12-2 p.m., at COPELAND'S MOON TOWNSHIP, 981 Brodhead Rd. where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Rev. Ron Schermerhorn will officiate. KUBILIUS THOMAS M. Age 49, of Mount Lebanon, formerly of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away into the hands of God on Monday, April 30, 2018. Beloved husband of Jessica (Denis) Kubilius; loving father of Molly, Jonas, Daniel and Owen; devoted son of the late Martin and Kathleen (McCann) Kubilius; brother of Susan Harris; uncle of Leon Harris; step-brother of Daina Westerman and Anita Reid. Tom was a man devoted to faith, family, friends and music. He had earned Masters Degrees from both the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity. Tom also enjoyed serving as an Eucharistic Minister for his church. He loved spending time with his family and sharing lunch with friends. His children loved his stories and his cooking. Some may even remember his days as lead guitarist for The Hecklers band. BOBER BRIAN J. Age 67, of Shaler Township, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018 after a courageous yearlong battle with leukemia. Born October 2, 1950 in Ligonier, he was the son of the late John and Nancy (Hall) Bober. Brian was an avid WVU sports fan and reader. He loved working in his garden and spending time with his family at the beach and OBX. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Joan (Corcoran) Bober; daughter, Julie (Andrew) Moore, of Hershey; son, Adam (Megan) Bober, of Baltimore; grandchildren, Lily, Henry and Landon; sister, Sheri Metheny, of Louisville, KY. GRAPE ANNE MARIE (CROPCHO) For the past six months, Anne raged, raged against the dying of the light before finally succumbing to cancer on Monday, April 30, 2018. The 59-year-old Upper St. Clair resident made her name among the Pittsburgh architecture community as a top-flight corporate interior designer who specialized in large-scale space planning. She was part of Pittsburgh's Renaissance II, working with several prominent architectural firms over the years on projects in virtually every well-known building in the city. One favorite project was the Igloo Club at the Civic Arena. As devoted as Anne was to her career, she always put her family first. She was the favorite aunt who spoiled her nieces and nephews with “no rules” sleepovers.” Niece Pam Carney of Denver, CO said, “She has been and continues to be a role model in so many ways: as an aunt whose mere presence would elicit sheer joy, a businesswoman who paved the way for others with her determination and brilliance, a mother who loved so fiercely and proudly, and a person who believed in compassion above all.” Anne started her own family in 1997 when she married, fulfilling the wish of her beloved late father, Stephen Cropcho for her to find a Carnegie Mellon graduate who takes care of his mother and is nice to animals. In 1999 Anne reached a crossroads when she gave birth to her only child, Eli. She made the difficult decision to pause her career and devote herself to being a full-time mom. For ten years, Anne spent every day participating in her son's life, guiding him to become a successful student-athlete at Lehigh University and member of the nationally ranked 2018 EIWA Championship wrestling team. When Anne reentered the workforce, she found her space planning skills were still highly valued. Her last major project was planning and designing office spaces for the Crown Castle USA facilities in the Southpointe business park. Anne leaves behind her husband, Mike; and son, Eli; along with her mother, Shirley Cropcho; sisters, Cathy (Ron) Shank, Patty Carney, Peggy Gruseck; and brother, Steve (Andrea) Cropcho. BUTTERI SANDRA L. Age 71, of Beaver Falls, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice. Born March 7, 1947 in Ellwood City, the daughter of the late Leroy and Myrtle (Goehring) Lintz. Sandra was a faithful Jehovah's Witness for over 50 years. Affectionately known as Nunny, she enjoyed her family, friends, and making people laugh. Surviving are her loving husband of almost 53 years, Charles Butteri; son, Shawn Butteri and his wife, Corrina; two grandchildren, Seth and Simone Butteri; and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her best friend Pat Medlen, who was always by her side. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Elizabeth in infancy, Jane Lintz, Jean Rearick and Darlene Keul; and three brothers, John Lintz, David Lintz and Gerald Lintz. GOODEN JOHN E. Age 84, of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 in Canterbury Place. He was born December 8, 1933 in McKeesport, son of the late Thomas Gooden and Maggie Williams Gooden. He was preceded in death by daughter, Deborah Gooden; son, Eugene Comer; wife, Carrie Bell Gray Gooden; and sister, Rosetta Bennett. John was a member of Payne Chapel A.M.E., where he was a former Steward and former Class Leader. He was a member of three choirs within Payne Chapel A.M.E.—the Male Chorus, Gospel Chorus, and the Martineers. He was also a member of The Sons of Allen and was a former member of The Jewels. He retired from UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Left to cherish his memories are his children, Nickol Johnson of Verona, Eric Gooden of Duquesne, John Gooden of Jacob, FL, Erica Gooden of Clairton, Shirley Comer Knight of Clairton; 33 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren; siblings, Melvin Gooden of North Versailles, Alfred Gooden of Duquesne; adopted daughter, Joanne Turner; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. ILGEN LENARD Age 98, of Tampa, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, died Tuesday, the 1st of May, 2018. Born in 1919 in Centre County, PA, Lenard received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State. He worked for Duquesne Light Co. in Pittsburgh for 43 years with a four year break to serve in the Navy during WWII where he was the Engineering Officer aboard a Destroyer Escort in the Pacific. Lenard was preceded in death by Marion Crow, Darline Neuhouser Ilgen, Christine Griscti Ilgen; his son, John Ilgen; and his daughter, Jeanne Ilgen (Sean Licka). He is survived by his daughter, Mary Hritz (David); and his son, Paul Ilgen (Elizabeth). Lenard is lovingly remembered by his seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He led by example, contributing to the community through work with the YMCA, Rotary International, Meals on Wheels, and his church. Lenard leaves behind a legacy of love, support and kindness, and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be at BLOUNT & CURRY WEST CHAPEL, 6802 Silvermill Dr., Tampa, on May 4, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on May 5, 2018, at Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 8401 Hillsborough Ave., Tampa, at 11 a.m. A private burial will be held at Centre County Memorial Park, State College, PA, at a later date.
