MILLER RICHARD S. Age 75, of Level Green, formerly of Murrysville, passed away peacefully Monday, September 17, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 18, 1943, a son of the late Stanley and Esther Mae (Doelbor) Miller. Richard graduated from Hopewell Area High School and received his bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Youngstown State University. After brief positions with a railroad and IBM, he spent most of his career at Westinghouse, mainly at the Energy Center in Monroeville. There he worked throughout the IT department until eventually retiring from the position of Corporate Director of Information Systems. After retirement, he and his wife, Linda, enjoyed traveling together. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. He was dearly loved by his family and liked to meet often for family lunches. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 42 years, Linda (Magestro) Miller. He is survived by three children, Robert Miller of Chambersburg, Beth (Scott) Sherman of Murrysville, and Kristy (Josh) Johnson of Level Green; and six grandchildren; Nicholas, Matthew and Brooke Sherman, and Olivia, Weston and Miles Johnson; he is also survived by a loving companion, Mary Jane Risbon of Level Green; and special friends, Bill and Paula Murray of Bradenton, FL. She was an excellent baker and cook, and was a generous person always taking the time to help others. AJ was also a licensed nail technician and owner of a beauty salon. MOLITIERNO SALVATORE A. Of Penn Hills, formerly of Larimer Ave., passed away surrounded by his family on his 93rd birthday, Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Beloved husband of Frances, father of Tom (Lucy), Joe (Wanda), Steve (Karen) Molitierno and Annette "Toni" (Greg) Soxman and the late Bert (surviving spouse Cindy) Molitierno; grandfather of Hope, Tommy, Carmen, Joey, Alyssa, Michael, Louis, Gabrielle, and Andrew; greatgrandfather of nine; brother of Kitty, Nancy and the late Marsh, Jimmy, Joe, Mimi, Maggie and Clara; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Sal was a proud WWII Navy Submarine Veteran and served as president of the Pittsburgh Chapter of WWII Submarine Veterans Organization. He was employed by Kroger for 26 years. He then formed S&W beer distributing which he owned and operated for almost 20 years. Also he worked for Penn Hills School District until his retirement. Over the years he was president of Local Teamsters Warehouse Union and formed three non-teacher unions with the Penn Hills School District and served as president for all three of those unions. Sal was a member of Penn Hills Senior Center and served a term as president and many terms as a treasurer. He is a founding member of the nationally acknowledged Penn Hills Senior Softball League where he was a proud manager, player, coach, president and served as an officer until his death. He was a hardworking man of faith. He was a devoted family man and loved dogs. His feistiness and dedication brought him much success in his life which led him to build such a wonderful and loving family. He was a firm believer in education and inspired all five of his children to get their college degrees. He will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him.
