STUBNA SR. HILDA (BARBARA) On March 23, 2014, in Fond Du Lac, WI. SR. Hilda (Barbara) Stubna was born Oct. 11, 1919, in Scrubgrass Hollow, Scott Twp., daughter of Maria and Ferdinand Stubna. She attended a country school in Woodville, PA for four years before attending a Catholic School at St. Joseph Parish in Carnegie, taught by the nuns of St. Agnes. Deciding to become a nun, she entered the convent of St. Agnes in Fond Du Lac, WI, where she completed high school and college. After professing her vows, she became an elementary school teacher. Her assignments were in Hays, KS, Altoona, PA, and the New York area. She taught in Yonkers, the Bronx (during 9-11) and finally at the Leo House. From New York she made two trips to the Lourdes Grotto, France. She was a choir leader at mass said by her nephew, Fr. Kris Stubna and she loved to play Scrabble, it was a test of skill she enjoyed. When Sr. Edna's health began to fail, she was transferred to Fond Du Lac to care for her. She is survived by one sister, Irene Stubna Pagliai of McDonald, PA; many nieces and nephews; and the sisters of St. Agnes, with whom she lived, prayed and ministered. Preceded in death by her parents, Maria and Ferdinand Stubna; sisters, Ida Clark, Mathilda Grandinette, Mary Mondine, Theresa Michaels and Sr. Edna (Helen) Stubna; and brothers, Steven, David, Ferdinand, and Michael. DANIELS LILLIAN BRANDT Age 92, of Sherwood Oaks, Cranberry Twp., passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014. Daughter of the late Senator Herman P. and Allie (Heid) Brandt; beloved wife for 62 years of the late Arnold R. Daniels. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah D. Webster of New York, NY; and a son, Peter B. Daniels of Rowayton, CT; sister of the late Paul W. Brandt, H. Carl “Pete” Brandt, Richard S. Brandt, and Elizabeth Atkinson. She was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Penn State University, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Lillian worked for the Pittsburgh Post- Gazette and was the Director of Special Events for the Joseph Horne Co. She was a member of the Women's Press Club of Pittsburgh, Highland Country Club, and Hiland Presbyterian Church, and was listed in Who's Who of American Women. MICHELOTTI JOYCE MARIE (AUL) MINEO Age 73, of Prospect, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, while under the care of the Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford. Born March 4, 1941, in Pittsburgh, Joyce was the daughter of the late Richard and Nora (Murphy) Aul. Joyce lived her life for her family as a homemaker and will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be dearly missed. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her four children, Diane Karlik and her husband, Steve, of Virginia, Barbara Penfield and her husband, Raymond, of Ohio Township, Lisa Busse of Kilbuch Township and Richard Mineo and his wife, Julia, of Prospect; her brother, William Townsend and his wife, Candice, of North Huntingdon Township; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by three husbands and a brother, James Aul. BRENNAN MICHAEL J. Age 72, of Canonsburg, formerly of Sewickley, on Sunday, March 23, 2014. Born July 13, 1941, in Sewickley, son of the late Michael J. and Margaret (Miller) Brennan. Beloved husband of the late Kathryn (Shipley) Brennan; loving father of Becky (Bill) Brennan Branzell of Silver Spring, MD, Bonnie Brennan of Conifer, CO, and Kathy Brennan (Jesse Adams) of Albany, OR; grandfather of Collin Branzell, Sean and Derek Sands, and Luke Adams; brother of Margaret (Dave) Winters of Washington, PA, Edward (Anne) Brennan of Ambridge, and the late Terry Brennan. Michael was a Vietnam veteran serving in the Air Force, an accounting analyst with Marriott Corp. and enjoyed painting, photography, and traveling with family. He was known by all for his warm spirit and good humor. A memorial visitation will be held at COPELAND'S IN SEWICKLEY, 702 Beaver St., on Saturday, March 29, 2014, from 12-2 p.m., when a Blessing Service will be held, with Fr. Thomas J. Burke, as celebrant, for Mike and Kay in the funeral home. Interment private.
