WISNIEWSKI SUZANNE (SKINNER) Passed away at her home in Shaler on June 16, 2014, at the age of 71. Suzanne was born to Jack and Mary Skinner (Callahan) in Pittsburgh in 1942. She graduated from Shaler High School in 1960 and continued her education at Carnegie Mellon University (known as Carnegie Tech at the time). She studied fine art with an emphasis in painting and design. Suzanne moved briefly to Galveston, Texas in 1962. Upon her return to Pittsburgh in 1964, she worked as a reservationist for Trans World Airlines for several years. She lived her life unrestrained by rules. Friends and family will remember her as a generous and fiercely independent woman who defied expectations. Suzanne is survived by her only child, Heather McCreery; son-in-law, Raymond Zurcher, both of San Antonio, Texas; and four grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Mercedes Bazzone of Tokyo, Japan, Stephen Bazzone, Grant Zurcher, and Austin Zurcher, all of San Antonio, Texas; she is also survived by her two brothers, Dick Holzer and John Holzer and his wife, Beverly; as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, Thomas King McCreery, Jr. and Dave Wisniewski. Suzanne was a pragmatic individual and her remains were cremated by THOMAS M. SMITH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, LTD., Blawnox, per her request. No immediate visitation or funeral services are planned. However, a remembrance event will be held at the Shalercrest Housing Association community building at 272 Mt. Vernon Dr., Pittsburgh, 15223 at 6:00 p.m. on July 26, 2014. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Rocky Mountain MS Center. Suzanne was keenly interested in multiple sclerosis and donated her brain tissue to further research efforts. DAVIS FREDA W. Freda, 106, died June 22, 2014, in the Greensburg Care Center. She was born February 22, 1908, in Tyre, PA, a daughter of the late James C. and Eva (Kress) Wilson. Freda spent the last five years with her son, James and Charlene Davis in Delmont. Mrs. Davis was a school teacher in the West Allegheny School District. She was a member of Valley Presbyterian Church for 94 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing bridge. Surviving is her son, James (Charlene) Davis of Delmont; also surviving are three grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Davis; son, George W. Davis; brothers, William Wilson and George C. Wilson; and sister, Mary Daudet; four grandchildren, Douglas, Glen, Peggy and Timothy Davis. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Valley Presbyterian Church, 237 Main St., Imperial. Interment will be held in Valley Cemetery. MASKA RUDOLF Age 87, of Fox Chapel, passed on June 24, 2014. He was born in Zabrzeg, Poland to the late Frank and Anna Maska. Rudolf was a World War II veteran having served in Poland and England. He was employed in the United States by PPG Industries and Koppers for over 35 years as a chemist, having been awarded several patents. He was also a member of the American Chemical Society and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Rudolf was a long time and faithful member of St. Mary's parish in Glenshaw, PA. He was also active in the Polish community in Pittsburgh and the Polish Cultural Council. Rudolf will be sadly missed by his loving family, his wife, Krystyna; daughters, Yvonne and Lydia; sons-in-law, Paul and Jeff; grandchildren, Alex, Bella and Julia; and brother, Wiktor; and numerous nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law.
