EISEMAN MARY CATHERINE (KELLY) Age 92 of Swissvale, died February 14, 2017 after a 15 year battle with Alzheimer's. Besides the love for her family she was famous for people coming from miles to have her create their wedding money box with the exact colors of their dresses and tuxedos. After that most returned to have her create boxes for showers and baby gifts. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Robert; her parents, Harry and Catherine (Watkins) Kelly; and her sister, Barbara Ann Kelly. Mary is survived by son, Gary (Patricia Getz) Eiseman of Springdale Twp.; her grandson, Todd (Richelle Grygo) Eiseman. Friends received 3-8 p.m. Friday only at the THOMAS L. HANCHAK JOSEPHINE Age 97, formerly of Pittsburgh passed away Tuesday February 14, 2017 at The Helen Purcell Home in Zanesville, where she resided for the past five years. She was born on November 27, 1919 to the late Daria (Prewallo) Hanaieff and Semon "Sam" Hanaieff in Pittsburg, PA. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Hanchak; sisters Barbara Evans (2001), Mary Hanaieff (2009) and Lillian Kowal (2013). She is survived by a nephew Phil (Shari) Kowal of Somerset, PA; nieces Jo Ann Turner of Zanesville, OH, Debbie (Dennis) DiLorenzo of Monroeville, PA, and Daria (Dan) Rayburn of Bethel Park; five great nieces and three great nephews; one great great nephew. Josephine worked a book keeper at H.J. Hienz for 49 years, retiring at the age of 74. She was a member of St. Rosalia's Parish in Greenfield where a memorial mass will be held at a later date. DEANER ROBERT MILTON TALIAFERRO, Sr. R. Milton Deaner, Engineering Executive, 92. Shaped by the great depression, WWII, and a Southern Baptist upbringing, Milton was a man known for his intelligence and diligent hard work. Mr. Deaner, of Northville, MI passed away on Saturday, February 11, from complications of cancer. Born in Lynchburg Virginia June 26, 1924, to Frank and Lucy Deaner, one of 6 children. A WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943 to 1945 he was a flight engineer stationed in Foggia, Italy. Following the war he obtained a degree in mechanical engineering at Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana. Mr. Deaner's career in steel manufacturing began in 1948 in Pittsburgh, PA at the U.S. Steel Homestead Works. Highlights include: Sales Manager-Arthur G. McKee, Cleveland, 1952-1961, Group Vice President, 1964-1971. Chief Engineer-McLouth Steel Corp, Trenton, Michigan, 1961-1964, Chairman, President, 1981-1986. Vice President engineering National Steel Corp, Pittsburgh, 1971-1981. Lastly, he was President of the American Iron and Steel Institute from 1987 until his retirement in 1993. He served on many executive non-profit and for-profit boards. His hobbies included golf, tennis, gardening, biking and wood-crafting, and was member of several social clubs including The Duquesne Club, Wildwood Country Club, and The Fox Chapel Golf Club. Milton was preceded in death by Jean Dow, his wife of 60 years. He is survived by his children, Pamela, Burke, VA, Sandra, Pittsburgh, PA, Robert, Pittsburgh, PA; 2 grandchildren; 4 great- grandchildren; his brother, Gene, Lancaster, PA; and Susan, wife of 8 years, Northville, MI. KALODIKIS MARY MANTIS With great sadness, the family of Mary Mantis Kalodikis of Carlisle, PA, announces her death on February 13, 2017. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Constantine and Despina Mantis. She was a lifetime member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Camp Hill where she was involved in Church related activities, including the Saints Joachim and Anna Society. Mary was the proprietor for many years of the Beauty Box in Camp Hill. Mary was the beloved wife of the late George Kalodikis, whom she married in 1958 and will now join in eternal life. She was a dedicated and incredibly devoted mother to her two daughters and two sons-in-law (whom she thought of as her sons) and who will cherish her memory: Penny and Gus Georgiadis (Wexford, PA) and Christine and Ernie Sparages (Carlisle, PA). Mary was Nene to six adoring grandchildren who brought much love and joy to her life: Andrew, Maria, Christian, Ana, Jacob and Lucas. Mary's family was the light of her life; her most cherished moments were the times she spent with her family, especially these last 11 years living with her children and grandchildren in Wexford and Carlisle. She lived every single day of her life for her family and considered each as her greatest accomplishment. Also surviving are her brother, Dean Mantis; and numerous nieces, nephews; and a godchild, Hon. George Zozos. She was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Mantis; and her sister, Christine (Mantis) Lewis. Friends will be received on Friday, February 17, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1000 Yverdon Drive, Camp Hill, PA 17011. The funeral service will immediately follow at noon. After the interment in the Rolling Green Cemetery, a traditional Makaria will be served at the Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Paul R. Sieber, Jr. Jack graduated from Shady Side Academy and Bucknell University, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Beloved friend of Tina Marie Dugan; loving dog owner of Junior and the late Maxx (his sons); son of the late Chester and Bernadette Wisniewski; brother of Sharon (Ron) Heisel, Keith (Sharon K.) Wisniewski and Gary Wisniewski; also survived by nieces and nephews. Greg was a 1983 graduate of Central Catholic. He met many friends throughout his life playing sports through adulthood, working in the restaurant/bar business, for Blue Cross and in car sales. He was a diehard Pittsburgh sports fan and loved to golf, ski and the great outdoors all year round. He was a caregiver to those he loved and he loved all very hard. Greg's whole life was based on competitiveness, strength and he was very determined to the end! We fought the fight together, you're the ironman and my hero, and your reward is heaven! KERR HELEN (GUBIC) Formerly of Monessen, on Sunday morning, Feb. 12, 2017, age 99, Helen passed away at her nursing home located in Wexford, PA. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter Kerr who passed in 1989. Prior to marriage, Helen was a bookkeeper for Pittsburgh-Wheeling Steel. After marriage, she raised two children, Gary and Janice Kerr. She leaves behind two grandchildren, Kelly and Ryan, along with five great- grandchildren.
